Quel Moi?

Dear All...

Really put myself away with Pour Moi in Saturday's Derby; nevertheless not sure how good this Derby was...time will tell, of course! The runners seem to be ever more green and inexperienced; hence we have seen such decisive and fancied winners in recent years with so many not tready for the rigours of the race or for Epsom's challenge...

I still have high hopes for Carlton House; the tactical speed he showed off Tattenham Corner suggests that 10 furlongs might be his optimum trip though the race was probably inconclusive overall in view of the scrimmaging and lost shoe etc.

Barzalona's celebrations, although more welcome than the team of the similar name's the previous weekend (MUFC supporter), were unacceptable whilst at the same time welcome publicity for this great sport! The new Frankie me thinks in more ways than one!

Racing was tricky yesterday because of the change in the weather in some venues so opportunities were few and far between; we saw a useful juvenile from the Margarson yard - connections did well to keep it so quiet as the trainer spoke of Royal Ascot as though it was most certainly the plan. The one seed of doubt is yesterday's close proximity to the intended reappearance in the Coventry next Tuesday...

Today's qualifiers are;

SET ME FREE - 16:45 Redcar
SPANISH BOUNTY - 15:20 Salisbury
EMILIO LARGO - 15:55 Salisbury

None are A grade qualifiers though so suggest stakes kept to a minimum - perhaps an each way trixie or treble...

Bye for now!

Rm(Mark)
