Let me add my hearty congratulations to Sir Henry. I am not a fan of the honours system but if it must be then Henry is my idea of a deserving recipient... he was one of the principal reasons why, as a boy, I was enthralled by this game. I introduced myself to Henry at Windsor races one evening. He looked tired and a bit drawn and was strangely isolated outside the paddock on a quiet Monday. He seemed genuinely surprised that I requested he autograph my race programme; humble and self effacing for one of such privilege and charming towards all in both victory and defeat. A genuine hero!
